Case 67: Lung Nodule - FNAC vs Biopsy – The Recent Debate in the AJR in the Context of a Deep Lung Nodule Biopsy
A 66-years old man presented with dyspnea. A CT chest showed a spiculated proximal right middle lobe lung nodule. A PET/CT showed marked uptake with uptake in the subcarinal node.
The patient had a prior history of abdominal TB, 3 years ago, for which he was successfully treated.
The pre-test probability was lung cancer.
A biopsy was done as usual. I have presented this case to highlight the recent Point:Counterpoint on FNAC vs Biopsy for lung nodule in the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR).
The video explains the rest.
