Previous Case:
Case 138: Transhepatic Portal Node Biopsy
A transhepatic route is a simple way to approach portal, pancreatic and peritoneal lesions

Current Case:
A 38-years old treated for carcinoma tongue presented with a right pleural collection and had a focal lesion involving the right 7th and 8th ribs and the intercostal space. Pleural aspiration was negative.

The patient was referred for a biopsy of this abnormal soft tissue. While supine and decubitus approaches were available, I decided to biopsy in the prone position, by going through the pleural collection.
