Case 112: Pancreatic Head Biopsy and Hemorrhage - On a Wing and a Prayer...And Pre-Bx Workup and TXA
This 63-years old patient came for a pancreatic head biopsy. She had a normal coagulation profile. I used tranexamic acid (TXA) prophylaxis. During the procedure she bled quite a bit.
The video describes the case, how I tackled the bleed and a discussion of bleeding during biopsies and how to prevent / treat biopsy related hemorrhage.
